Coalville Dance Festival: Congratulations to five of our pupils who competed at Coalville during November. Well done! 
Young Performers 2000: We danced at
Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End on Sunday 12 March.
This involved 25 pupils from the school and we performed
two routines: "Getting To Know You" from the 'King
& I' and "Arabian Nights" from 'Aladdin'. It was a very enjoyable day and a wonderful experience for all the children. They performed so well that we have been invited to appear again in autumn 2001.
Michael Barrymore: Our Junior Song & Dance Class were filmed for Michael Barrymore's 'My Kind Of People' on 25th April. They performed "Getting To Know You" at Meadowhall Shopping Centre, Sheffield.
Derby Arts Festival: Four pupils competed at The Guildhall Theatre on April 30th: 
Chloe also won a trophy for highest acrobatics mark for competitors aged 13 and under.
Summer Galas: The whole school was invited to perform at two summer galas this year. We danced at the William Shrewsbury School Gala and also at the Stretton Millennium Gala. We performed several routines which included Song & Dance, Gymnastics and Modern Jazz.
'Shall We Dance': Our summer show took place at The Priory
Centre, Stretton, at the beginning of July. It was a great success and all the children performed wonderfully, with great confidence and professionalism. A big thank you to all the parents for their support and to everyone who helped backstage.
Brewhouse Summer Showcase: Our Primary Ballet class and our Junior Song & Dance class performed 'Masquerade Ballet' and 'Getting to Know You' at the Brewhouse Summer Showcase on Saturday 15 July 2000. The show included performances by many local groups and schools.
1999
A very successful exam session took place in June 1999. Exams were taken in every subject, with all pupils gaining 75% or more.
Chloe,
age 8, was filmed for Michael Barrymore's TV show 'My Kind of
People'. She performed an acrobatic Pink Panther routine. Chloe
also competed at the Coalville Choreography Festival and was
awarded second place with a mark of 80%.
1998
Our
first show 'Easter Cabaret' took place at The Priory Centre.
We did two performances which included Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz,
Gymnastics and Singing. It was a great success and all the children
loved their first taste of performing on stage.
