Coalville Dance Festival: Congratulations to three of our pupils who competed at Coalville during November. Well done!

Young Performers 2001: Our Junior Song & Dance class were invited to perform in London's West End for the second year running. On Sunday 23rd September, 26 children were involved in the charity gala at Her Majesty's Theatre. They performed 2 routines: Rock Around The Clock and The Sound Of Music. Everyone performed brilliantly and it was an excellent experience for the children to dance on a professional stage. We had a fantastic day and hope to be invited back again next year.

Exams: We had a very busy exam year this year: 152 exams were taken. Everyone passed and we had excellent results as follows:

54 Pass.......................... (Pass or Fail only)
41 Honours.................... (85%+)
38 Highly Commended ...(80%+)
19 Commended.............. (75%+)

Derby Arts Festival: Five of our pupils performed at the Derby Festival in April this year. Competition was tough but they all did very well:

Summer Gala: The whole school was invited to perform at the William Shrewsbury School Gala. We performed several routines which included Song & Dance and Modern Jazz.
