When Children Rule The World: This year's show was held at the beginning of December at the Brewhouse Arts Centre in Burton. Over 100 children took part, performing in a variety of Song & Dance routines. The sell-out show was a great success and the children danced wonderfully at all three performances. A big thank you to everyone who was involved in the production.

Coalville Dance Festival: In November seven of our pupils competed at this festival. We had an enjoyable time and achieved these results:

Dance Day: On Sunday 14 July we held our first Dance Day. Professional performers led workshops involving pop-jazz, drama, musical theatre, rhythmic gymnastics and circus skills. Over 70 children were involved and the day was funded by the Burton Round Table.

Exams: At the end of our Dance Day on Sunday 14 July we had a presentation for all the exams taken this year. We had excellent results and trophies were awarded for children with the highest marks. Miss Sally and Claire also took exams this year - Claire passed Advanced 1 Tap with an honours mark of 90% and was nominated for an IDTA Scholarship. Miss Sally gained 92% honours in her Licentiate Tap teaching exam.

Summer Gala: In June we performed at the William Shrewsbury School Gala for the third year running. Over 100 children took part, performing Ballet, Song & Dance, Modern Jazz and Gymnastic routines.

Derby Arts Festival: We had another successful year at the festival, with the following results:

Childrens BBC: In April, Chloe was invited to appear on the new digital CBBC channel. She spent a day in the TV studios, performing her Acrobatic solo on the 'Xchange' programme.

Coventry Dance Festival: Congratulations to the seven pupils who competed at the Coventry Dance Festival during March. These are excellent results - keep up the good work...
