2006
Christmas Productions: Five of our pupils appeared in professional Pantomimes this Christmas. Emma danced in Aladdin at the Regent Theatre, Stoke on Trent and Blu, Hannah, Natalia and Chris all performed in Peter Pan at the Derby Assembly Rooms. Ex-pupil Maddie, who is now training at the Royal Ballet School, danced in a production of the Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Well done to all of you - what great experience for young dancers.

Barbie Dance Stars: This was a national dance competition sponsored by ‘Barbie’ and open to 6-12 year olds. After sending in a video of themselves dancing, hopefuls had to wait to find out if they had been chosen to go into the final. Josie, age 11, got through to the grand final and competed in London in December. The judging panel included Arlene Phillips from Strictly Come Dancing who told Josie she was a very talented dancer and would definitely have a successful career in Musical Theatre. Congratulations!
English Youth Ballet: Emma, age 9, appeared with the English Youth Ballet in their September production of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ in Wolverhampton. She was part of a chorus of young children who performed alongside professional ballet dancers. Well done Emma, what a great experience!
Film Star Search: Well done to Amy and Josie who have got through to the second round of auditions for a new all-child cast musical feature film, 'Journey to the Moon'. Good luck in the next round girls!
Elmhurst Ballet School: Congratulations to Emma & Ellie who successfully auditioned for the Pre-vocational Dance programme run by Elmhurst Ballet School. From September they will be training in Birmingham every Saturday with top class teachers from this famous school. They will be focusing primarily on Ballet, but will also take classes in Jazz and Tap.

Royal Ballet School: Congratulations to eleven year old Maddie who has been accepted as a full time student at the Royal Ballet School in London. She was one of only 12 girls accepted out of 1,000 hopefuls. It is a great opportunity for a young dancer and we wish her lots of luck for her first year there.
