This is how we use your data at Cabaret Theatre School:
1: Data: On joining Cabaret Theatre School we will ask for an emergency telephone number and an email address. A paper copy of this information is kept securely at the Burton Studio or the Grange Hall in case of emergencies. A copy is also kept on the Principal’s digital storage. It is the policy of the school that Cabaret staff will not share anyone’s contact details without the permission of the individual.
2: Email: All Cabaret Theatre School communication will be sent by email. Your email will be added to the group mailing list. Every effort will be made to send emails in the ‘bcc’ field therefore disallowing other parents to have access to email addresses. If you wish to contact the school, please use our above email address.
3: Phone number: Your mobile number will be used for emergencies and for if we need to contact you immediately. If you need to contact us immediately or you have an emergency, please use the above mobile number.
4: Photos/videos: Photos and video footage from classes, shows, festivals and summer schools may be used on our website, social media and for publicity purposes. If you do not wish your child to be featured on these sites, please notify us by email.
5: Videos: On ‘Open Days’ parents are permitted to video their child in class. We ask that any video recordings are not shared publicly on social media and if you do not wish your child to be videoed by another parent, please inform us at the time of recording.
6: Medical Records: On joining our school you will be asked to give us any relevant medical information. Occasionally there may be a need to inform an examiner of a child’s condition or disability. The IDTA has an Application for Reasonable Adjustment in place where we can advise the examiner if a child is unable to perform a specific exercise/requirement due to a physical or mental disability. All medical information will be kept confidential.
7: Leaving the school: If you leave the school all contact details will be securely destroyed.
